Reception / Primary 1
Welcome to Reception/Primary 1!
Our classroom is a very busy learning environment where we are actively involved in play, reading, maths and religion activities each day. During play, we have opportunities to developing our language, problem-solving and investigational skills. Our play activities include sand and water activities, role play, painting, construction, ICT and topic related activities. As we play we develop important skills using as sharing, turn-taking, co-operation and perseverance. We learn how to work independently and we also develop 'team work' skills during group work.
Our first topic this year is 'Colours'. During play we investigated what happens when we mix primary colours. We discovered we could make orange, green and purple! We also learned how to make skin colour.
